Rising Sun Country Park
Extensive and mature country park on the site of the former Rising Sun Colliery.
Woodland, water features and open grassland. Much level terrain. One substantial hill.
Transport: Metro (Palmersville 750m.) and local buses (to Benton Asda)
Note that marker 23, previously missing, has been replaced with a temporary marker.
Marker 24, because of excessive vegetation, has been moved to a trail post at the major track junction 100 m. WNW of that shown on the map.
Marker 30 (on a low stump like post) is in place, but the path junction no longer exists. A nearby "memorial" tree on the other side of the path is a useful marker.
