Wray Castle - LOC Maprun Challenge Novice

The Lakeland Orienteering Club Maprun Challenge is a series of novice anytime-orienteering courses to complete and capture using the Maprun app on your smartphone.   

All the Maprun Challenge courses are suitable for beginners to navigate by following line features such as paths, walls and fences.

Wray is a great area of lovely gardens, woodland and lakeshore paths surrounding Wray Castle with beautiful views over Windermere to the surrounding fells.  

There are some craggy area and longer vegetation.  Please take care by the water.

Wray White course is 1.2km in length with 14 controls to find. 

Wray Yellow course is 1.5km in length with 15 controls to find.
